My Great Grandfather!
This is a picture that my brother sent to me with the information below!
On April 9, 1865, General Robert E. Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia to General Ulysses S. Grant of the United States Army at the Appomattox Court House in Virginia. Union Army Lieutenant Andrew J Bowman was there. He is my Great Grand Father. We have his diary that he kept during the Civil War. His picture is the one you see above. According to his diary, he was very fond of President Lincoln.
I can't help wondering what he would have thought of Trump?
