Travel to Warsaw & Scotland & Progress on Reworking Merlin & Arthur: The Awakening!

Old Town Warsaw, Poland

Inverness, Scotland near the Inverness Castle

While traveling, I’ve continued to rework my sci-fi/fantasy novel, Merlin & Arthur: The Awakening, and will republish it as soon as I’ve completed the work. It’s progressing well!  I’ve finished 11 chapters so far, which means I’m about a third of the way through!

Once I’m done with Merlin & Arthur, I’ll begin writing my next novel—more about that later! :)

Below, I’ve included a paragraph from Chapter 11 of Merlin & Arthur: The Awakening.

Then, unexpectedly, the crowd’s attention was drawn to the dense fog hovering over the lake. It seemed that there were lights deep within it, flickering and dancing. As everyone looked on, the lights became even more agitated and started to rise. Ascending rapidly, they burst into the open air above the thick haze. Their shape and colour became recognizable, and the crowd now saw them for what they were—multiple green and lavender spheres soaring upwards in the direction of St. Michael’s Tower. Halting there, they glittered and swirled around its base, just as the sun’s light touched the horizon. The birth of a new winter was imminent; the crowd let out a collective gasp of wonder, and someone yelled, “Fata Morgana—the Lights of Avalon!” But the vision faded within seconds as the light from the spheres was overtaken by the sunrise. Silence reasserted itself—leaving the onlookers in awe, wondering whether they had actually seen what they thought they had.

Traveling Back to Europe!

I’ll soon be leaving on another trip to Europe to visit friends in Poland and Scotland, travel to some sites in Scotland that are in the Alban Saga, and continue reworking and republishing my book Merlin & Arthur: The Awakening.

It’s been too long since my last trip, although I was having fun finishing my new book Vortex—the last book of the Alban Saga.

I’ll continue to check in with you along the way!

I wanted to let all of you know that I’ve been extremely busy! I’m still revising and rewriting my books, and I’ve been getting ready to move and leave for Europe in March!

Crazy, fun times!

I’ve completed the revision of my 5th novel and will provide a blog post in about three to four days indicating that it has been republished and available to order. Once that is done, I’ll only have one book left to go through and update. It’s time consuming but really worth it!

Once that’s done, I’m going to start writing my seventh novel. It’s going to be a dark fantasy that takes place in medieval Ireland! It’s based on a short story I wrote some years ago.

So, stay tuned for all that! Once I get to Europe, I’ll keep you up to date on what I’m doing there!

Talk to you soon!

Writing and Traveling in Europe!

I've been living in Inverness, Scotland now for almost two and half months and will be going to Vienna for Christmas and New Years. I've been waiting on the final edits of my new book, Merlin & Arthur: The Awakening, to be completed and in the meantime have been working on a new book. I still don't know what the title of that book will be, but it's the third and final book in the fantasy series entitled The Alban Saga. I've already included a short section from the beginning of that book in one of my recent blog posts.

I've been traveling in northern Scotland and writing. I love it here. It inspires me, and I feel a connection to the place, the people, and to Scotland's rich history. All of the books in The Alban Saga take place in Scotland and contain a lot of Scottish history as well as real settings all across Scotland. Being here allows me to soak up the culture and helps me a great deal with my research.

I will be in Europe until the summer of 2020, and I plan on continuing my travels not only to Vienna but to Poland, Ireland, and then back to Scotland again at the end of my trip. I also plan on continuing my work on the new book and should get Merlin & Arthur: The Awakening back from the editors sometime soon. When that happens, I'm looking forward to entering it into some sci-fi/fantasy writing contests as well as seeking out an agent and/or a publisher for it. The reaction I've received to it thus far has been very positive, and I believe it has a lot of potential. I'll let you know how all that goes.

As always, I want to thank all of you that read my books and follow my blog. Writing has become my passion. I work hard at it and love writing science fiction and fantasy! Thanks for coming on this journey with me!
