Now Available In Kindle eBook & Paperback On All Amazon Sites Around The World!

I've completed sending out queries to 50 agents for my new book, Merlin & Arthur: The Awakening.

It was a lot of work. Every agent seemed to have slightly different requirements, but I was able to do it all digitally, which helped.

It will be awhile before I hear from them. Most of them said it could be 4-6 weeks.

Once that was done, I went back through the new book one more time and updated it on all the Amazon sites around the globe.

Also, because of the coronavirus, Merlin & Arthur: The Awakening was only available in Kindle eBook format and paperback on Amazon.com until recently. Now you can get it in either format on any Amazon site!

Letting You Know What's Been Happening!

ROOMS HAS BEEN REVISED
Well, it's been a very busy three weeks since my "Writer's Block" post. Yes, the writer's block went away, and I decided to finally do a major rewrite and edit of Rooms before starting on the sequel to Beatrice. The rewrite is done, and I'm very pleased.

After I completed The Chosen, my writing skills had improved by then, and I wanted to bring Rooms up to the same level as The Chosen. Since they are companion books, it was important that they match up. That's the reason for the rewrite of Rooms. I worked hard on the whole book with special emphasis on the first four chapters. I think the two work together better now, and I'm especially pleased with the new first chapter of Rooms.

I will let all of you know when the changes are published on Amazon in both the paperback and Kindle versions. If you have Rooms in the Kindle version, I would recommend that you wait for the post indicating that the updated version is live on Amazon.com in order to update it on your Kindle. I'll even tell you how to upgrade to the newer version in that post.

If you'd like to read the first three chapters of the new version, just go to the BOB'S BOOKS link at the top of the blog. You'll see the link to the revised chapters.

FIRST AMAZON REVIEW OF THE CHOSEN

An Excellent Read!
I was excited to read the author’s sequel to Rooms, and he did not disappoint me. I was thoroughly impressed by the author’s capacity to not only successfully weave an intricate plot, but to create a variety of complex characters and societies that enriched and promoted that plot. I was kept on the edge of my seat the entire time as I read of the struggle between the Loonites and The Chosen to gain control of the Earth’s newly regained resources, the tiny outposts scattered throughout the galaxy, and the human’s who inhabited them. Which society won the right to change the course of human history? I will never tell. However, I will say that it was worth reading the entire novel to find out.

HOW ARE THE AGENT QUERIES GOING?
If you've been following my blog, you'll know that a few weeks ago I sent out a lot of agent queries for both Beatrice and The Chosen. This is my second time to do this, and I've received a lot more responses than before. Also, the responses that I have received have been more instructive and personal. It's been more encouraging, but I still have no takers. It's just the nature of the business, and in the meantime, I'm doing my best to improve as a writer and storyteller. It's not easy to be rejected, but it's part of the process, and I'm determined to succeed. I'll keep writing, thinking, dreaming, and creating!

BOOK PROMOTIONS AND GIVEAWAYS
Also, recently I have run some promotions for all of my books on Amazon. Those promotions have not only increased my readership, but I've received more reviews, and I believe it has kept my books in front of the public because I've continued to sell books every month.

I will do more in that area soon. I'll let you know when that happens and what the nature of the promotions will be.

Thank You!
Thanks to everyone that has one of my books! I hope you have fun reading them! When you finish, if you could write a review, comment on my blog, or send me an email, I would really appreciate it!

Completing Promotional Projects and Beginning New Book

During the last three weeks

I have taken about three weeks off from writing to work on increasing my readership and sending my writing off to possible agents. I'm glad that I had the time to work on these promotional activities.

The number of people reading my books has increased, and I've started receiving new reviews of my work. I've also heard from some agents. The responses have been much more personal this time, and several have made suggestions. I hope to hear more and maybe one will decide to represent me. It will take quite a while to hear back. I sent out about 110 queries.

Next writing project

I have read some reviews of my work and may do a few revisions of Rooms. I've also heard back from some people about my latest book The Chosen, and the responses have been very positive.

My next big project will be to begin a new Fantasy book. It will follow Beatrice from a time perspective and will have some of the same characters. However, I will do my best to write it as a book that can be read independently of Beatrice. I've started doing the research that I need to do and have also begun crafting an outline and laying down some story ideas. It will be an extremely interesting, creative, and fun project. I'm excited to start.

Sent out 80 Agent Queries in two days!

                                       New!

It's been a mind numbing process, but I've sent out 80 agent queries for these two books in the last two days. You never know what will come of it, but I'm doing my best to see if someone will pick me up.

Last time I did this, I sent out about 30 and received three positive responses. I didn't get a contract, but my interaction with the agents was positive.

It's interesting how each agent has their own particular requirements for the queries. Some want a query letter with the first page of the book, or the first fifty pages, or ten. Some want a summary, while others want just the letter. It's important to read each agent's directions carefully and follow them as exactly as possible, but it gets a bit crazy sometimes.

I'm enjoying working as in independent author, but I'd like to see if I could break through to a larger audience. Getting an agent is usually part of that process.

I will continue looking for other agents this week and then hopefully start on my next novel after I've completed my search.

I've started re-reading Beatrice again. It needs to be freshly engrained in my mind so that I can continue the story from where it left off. I'm really looking forward to writing again, and I have some fun ideas bubbling up!
